Our client is seeking a GEN AI Engineer to support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This role involves partnering with analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that enhance operational performance and customer experience. This is a fully remote contract opportunity with the potential for extension. What you will do:
- Construct and manage data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks
- Source data from systems such as CRMs and call centers
- Standardize data formats and load data into data lakes and warehouses for reporting and analysis
- Shape and implement data models that reflect business logic and support analytical needs, including dimensional and analytical schemas
- Merge datasets from multiple platforms, resolve inconsistencies, and uphold data integrity through automated ETL workflows
- Track and validate data accuracy through quality checks
- Troubleshoot and correct data issues proactively
- Refine data workflows and queries to boost processing speed and ensure timely data availability
- Liaise with analysts, business teams, and data scientists to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Support AI and machine learning initiatives
What you will need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a data engineer position
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Informatica, Talend)
- Familiar with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform), and big data tools (Hadoop, Spark)
- Skilled in data manipulation tools (Pandas, SQL), version control, and programming languages like Python and Java
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in AI projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
