Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical-Mechanical Engineer to join our Supplier Industrialization Engineering Team, focusing on magnetic components for high-performance power conversion systems in electric vehicles and energy storage products. This role will lead the custom development, qualification, and industrialization of critical magnetic components, ensuring robust integration into high-voltage architectures.

Responsibilities
  • Define, evaluate, and develop custom magnetic components (e.g., transformers, inductors, ferrite assemblies) to meet the performance, reliability, and packaging needs of power conversion systems in electric vehicles and energy storage products
  • Analyze the electrical-mechanical behavior of magnetic devices under real-world stress conditions (thermal, mechanical, vibration), and drive design improvements based on performance validation
  • Lead qualification efforts for NPI magnetic components, including test plan definition, supplier execution, and data review; document test results, validation findings, and qualification reports to ensure traceability, compliance, and continuous improvement in component design
  • Provide technical support to commercial counterpart in sourcing decision and vendor selection
  • Collaborate with internal design, reliability, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of magnetic components into high-voltage power architectures
  • Conduct design reviews, DFM assessments, and supplier audits to evaluate manufacturing capability, process control, and long-term scalability
  • Manage supplier industrialization and bring-up activities, including prototype build support, pilot line validation, and process troubleshooting
  • Drive technical engagement with vendors, including negotiating specifications, aligning on test criteria, and resolving design/manufacturing gaps
  • Identify critical failure modes (electrical, mechanical, thermal) and lead root cause analysis activities in collaboration with cross-functional and supplier teams
  • Support product roadmap execution by evaluating new magnetic materials, core geometries, insulation systems, and assembly methods for improved performance and manufacturability

Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical-mechanical engineering, with a focus on magnetic components and high-power systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, mechanical packaging, thermal management, and manufacturability
  • Experience working with semiconductor component manufacturing, productization, and failure analysis
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with ability to work with global suppliers and internal teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to drive design improvements and resolve system-level issues
