Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Commissions (HANA) Lead Consultant to oversee the migration of an existing dealer and channel compensation solution from SAP Commissions (Callidus, Oracle-based) to SAP Commissions on HANA. This strategic engagement supports the discovery phase focused on ensuring seamless business continuity and delivering a successful migration by the target deadline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the discovery, design, and strategic planning for migration from a legacy SAP Commissions platform running on Oracle to SAP Commissions on HANA.
  • Assess current business process flows spanning Dealer, Partner Retailers, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and Corporate Retail channels compensated through SAP Commissions.
  • Evaluate and document requirements for migrating both the Data Integration PaaS Layer (Informatica-Oracle workflows) and the SaaS Application Layer (automated commissions calculation and distribution).
  • Develop comprehensive migration strategies addressing integration and SaaS layers, ensuring data integrity, performance validation, functional parity, and uninterrupted business operations.
  • Facilitate workshops for stakeholder alignment, requirements gathering, and best practice sharing.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, business sponsors, SAP, and consulting partners to align migration options, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and recommend mitigation plans addressing operational, technical, and reporting impacts.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and status summaries for discovery phase deliverables.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SAP Commissions (CallidusCloud/SuccessFactors Incentive Management) implementation and migration projects, preferably on Oracle and HANA platforms.
  • Strong understanding of commission, incentive, and compensation processes across telecommunications, retail, or similar industries.
  • Hands-on experience designing or executing migrations of large-scale commission and incentive systems to SAP HANA.
  • Knowledge of Data Integration platforms such as Informatica and Oracle databases, with expertise in workflow and data mapping across hybrid architectures.
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology, migration tools, and testing/validation strategies.
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; SAP certifications are a plus.

Desired Attributes

  • Ability to quickly analyze complex technical and business environments to recommend optimal migration approaches.
  • Experience supporting discovery and assessment phases including requirements workshops, functional/technical evaluations, and executive-level reporting.
  • Familiarity with event-based sourcing, incentive modeling, quota, and territory management within SAP Commissions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs.
