ASSYST is seeking a skilled SharePoint Systems Administrator to support our client in Tallahassee, Florida
Location: Tallahassee, Florida Job Type: Contract (W2/C2C or 1099) Position: Hybrid - Onsite
Job Summary
The SharePoint Systems Administrator will support and maintain the Power Platform and SharePoint environments, ensuring system availability, security, and performance. This role includes administering SharePoint (Online and On-Premises), assisting in Power Platform development support, and resolving technical issues. The position requires collaboration with OIT staff, stakeholders, and end-users to implement improvements, support projects, and provide documentation and training.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Premises, and Power Platform applications (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Provide day-to-day administration and support, including issue resolution, access management, and system performance optimization.
  • Assist users in building simple Power Platform applications, automated workflows, and dashboards.
  • Conduct site audits, monitor usage, and generate reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, propose improvements, and implement effective solutions using SharePoint and Power Platform.
  • Upgrade SharePoint environments by planning, testing, and deploying enhancements and patches.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including design specs, best practices, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals.
  • Conduct training sessions and create knowledge base articles for end-user support and self-service resources.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience with SharePoint Online and/or On-Premises administration (site management, permissions, and content configuration).
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Power Platform tools: Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 applications including Microsoft Teams and OneDrive.
  • Working knowledge of network concepts and web-based application troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow for incident and request tracking.
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and best practices within SharePoint and Power Platform ecosystems.
  • Experience writing and maintaining user documentation and technical guides.
  • IIS (Internet Information Services) Administration experience is a plus.
