RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Workday HCM Engineer in Lehi, UT.
Summary:
As a Senior Workday HCM Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping and advancing our HR technology strategy. This position goes beyond day-to-day system support-you will own the design, optimization, and governance of Workday across multiple domains, driving innovation and aligning technology with our long-term business goals. The role combines deep technical expertise, strategic problem-solving, and leadership to ensure our HR platforms are secure, scalable, and delivering value to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the subject matter expert across multiple Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking
* Define and manage the Workday roadmap, aligning system improvements with HR strategy and organizational priorities
* Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, identifying opportunities to optimize processes and leading high-impact projects from concept to implementation
* Architect and maintain integrations using tools such as EIBs, Core Connectors, and RaaS to ensure seamless connectivity between Workday and third-party systems
* Troubleshoot complex integration issues, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and reliability across platforms
* Technical Consultation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Lead the technical design and requirements gathering for new Workday initiatives
* Partner with IT, HR, Finance, and other business units to deliver scalable solutions to complex challenges
* Oversee tenant lifecycle management, ensuring systems are properly maintained and aligned with evolving business needs
* Continuously evaluate and refine Workday processes, reports, integrations, and user interfaces to enhance efficiency and usability
* Manage change initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new features and practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of Workday HCM experience, including configuration, implementation, and optimization
* Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex projects
* Strong proficiency with Workday integration tools (EIBs, Core Connectors, RaaS)
* Proven track record of designing, testing, and deploying integrations to support critical HR processes
* Expertise in multiple Workday modules (experience in Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting strongly preferred)
* Broad understanding of the HR technology ecosystem, including integrations with Benefits, Recruiting, and Payroll
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, build consensus, and present solutions to leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
* Workday Pro or Workday Partner certifications
* Experience with Workday Studio or Workday Financials
* Background in Workday consulting or formal implementation projects
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
