Job Title: Licensed RCDD Engineer - Data Center Infrastructure

Location: Rosemount, MN (On-site at Meta Data Center)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Inside Plant / Networking Team

About the Role

We are seeking a Licensed RCDD Engineer to join our mission-critical data center team. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining structured cabling systems that meet industry standards and support the scalability, reliability, and performance of our infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of communications infrastructure in complex, high-demand environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement structured cabling systems (fiber and copper) in compliance with TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
  • Produce and review technical drawings, schematics, and layout plans using AutoCAD, Visio, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, IT teams, and contractors to ensure alignment between design and execution.
  • Conduct site surveys and infrastructure assessments to evaluate current capacity and future needs.
  • Provide quality assurance and oversight during installation and retrofits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure designs and updates.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure third-party compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to project planning, including cost estimation, material selection, and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active RCDD certification through BICSI.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in structured cabling design, preferably in data center environments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design tools.
  • Strong understanding of TIA/EIA, ANSI, and IEEE standards.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hyperscale or enterprise-level data center environments.
  • Certifications such as DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant) or PMP.
  • Familiarity with fiber optics, copper cabling, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of BIM, Revit, or advanced 3D modeling software.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
