Job Details

Role: Senior Network Data Center Consultant
Location: REMOTE (New England area)
Type: Contract
Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, including at least 10 years as a network consultant
• Expert-level experience in data center core and edge routing and switching for LAN, WAN, and MAN environments
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Cisco Nexus, Juniper, and Arista
• Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and RIP
• Extensive experience with TCP/IP design, subnetting, and troubleshooting
• Strong Layer 2 networking experience including Spanning Tree, VLANs, and 802.1Q
• Experience with data center and network services platforms such as F5, Infoblox, and Cisco ACI
• Some experience with enterprise wireless technologies and remote access solutions including VPN and SSL
• Strong experience with SD WAN and MPLS technologies, including device configuration and troubleshooting using platforms such as Viptela, Velocloud, Versa, FortiGate, and Silver Peak
• Deep understanding of QoS principles and implementation
• Strong network security experience including device configuration, troubleshooting, and analytics using ASA, Firepower, Palo Alto, Illumio, Check Point, Zero Trust Access, Private Access, and SASE
• Scripting experience using Python
• Experience with voice and collaboration platforms such as CUCM, Genesys, Avaya OneCloud, and Twilio
• Voice network experience including SIP head end design and SBC technologies (Ribbon, Oracle, Cube)
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Cloud Integrated Voice and Direct Routing
• Experience with E911 integrations including Intrado E9 1 1 Services Gateway and RedSky
• Strong understanding of SIP protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively with global financial services clients and cross functional teams
• Expert experience in network design, analysis, implementation, and troubleshooting across globally distributed infrastructures
• Ability to understand and support networks from data center core to edge at an enterprise scale
• Preferred experience includes at least 10 years supporting large global enterprise networks with complex architectures
• CCIE certification or equivalent experience strongly preferred
• Strong customer service, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills with the ability to mentor less experienced team members
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong understanding of the “big picture” and how network solutions support business outcomes
