Job Description:
  • In this role, candidates will work directly with the Managing Director and must possess strong communication and presentation skills suitable for executive-level interactions.
  • The primary responsibilities include financial reporting and analysis for IT, consolidating all IT spend for total cost of ownership and showbacks, managing relationships with key stakeholders to drive data collection and reporting, and understanding contract forecasting.
  • For the right candidate, this role offers the potential to transition from contract to hire.
  • A key aspect of this position involves creating an IT Portfolio Plan, which defines the structure and composition of the IT portfolio, including projects, programs, and initiatives.
  • Candidates will collaborate to develop, manage, and enforce IT portfolio, program, and project methodologies and disciplines that align strategically with technologies and business goals.
  • Additionally, candidates will work closely with Enterprise Architecture on a governance framework to document portfolio management processes, standards, and governance practices defining roles, responsibilities, decision-making procedures, and compliance measures.
  • The role includes conducting annual planning sessions with key stakeholders to identify top technology priorities for the current and upcoming fiscal years, centralizing and overseeing the intake process for technology projects to confirm funding, resource, and risk requirements, and developing and maintaining a project risk prioritization matrix tool.
  • Candidates will lead efforts with key stakeholders to prioritize and sequence projects based on strategic importance, resource availability, risk exposure, and business alignment.
  • Capacity planning will be used for identifying resource needs and scheduling to support critical portfolio decisions.
  • Identifying dependencies and critical paths and conducting regular portfolio reviews with senior leadership will help enable informed decisions about IT investments.
  • Additionally, candidates will develop and maintain a risk management plan to mitigate potential risks impacting successful delivery of portfolio projects and programs.
  • The IT Portfolio Manager will continuously review the portfolio to identify improvement or consolidation opportunities and implement innovative reporting metrics to provide visibility into portfolio performance for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • The position is also responsible for implementing quality assurance processes and audits with the compliance team to ensure timely delivery, adherence to standards, and user satisfaction.
  • The IT Portfolio Manager will indirectly oversee IT Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Business Analysts, and perform related duties as required.
