Principal Systems Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal Systems Analyst in Westlake, TX.

Responsibilities:
* Principal Systems Analyst will help analyze business and technical requirements to design effective solutions that can evolve and scale to meet business needs for the Managed Accounts Record Keeping team
* Define product solutions by working directly with business and product teams
* Evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements or replacements to ensure the systems comply with technology and security standards, and meet the business needs
* Actively promote good engineering practices and standards
* Help navigate new technologies and cloud-based deployments to help deliver high value to our business
* Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
* As a Principal Systems Analyst, you will perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open-Source frameworks
* Coordinate with Scrum Master to ensure timely delivery of software solutions
* Proactively lead process and technology improvement initiatives
* Mentor junior team members

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
* 10+ years of Analysis and solution design in Java, Oracle and AWS environments
* 3+ years of solutioning and coding experience with one or more of the following: AWS Cloud environments (DMS, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Glue with Scala or Python, RDS like Oracle and PostgreSQL etc.); Oracle PL/SQL development; Reporting and Analytics platforms like Snowflake
* Champion and advocate of Test-Driven Development, Unit testing using frameworks and tools like Jest and Jasmine
* Hands-on experience in container-based development (Docker)
* Hands-on experience in REST API development
* Experience in implementing Micro services Architecture & building/deploying highly automated, scalable and maintainable platforms and solutions
* Strong understanding of Data Structures and design patterns
* Fully hands on with application builds and deploys using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, artifactory, uDeploy, GitHub, etc.
* Extraordinary problem-solving skills dealing with complex systems design

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
