The Data Architecture role entails offering technical leadership and Architecture Strategy guidance for essential Google Cloud Platform Cloud, AI/ML & Analytics projects, utilizing cutting-edge technologies. The primary focus of this position is to serve as the data modeling expert in SAP Power Designer and to collaborate with business teams specializing in Data Factory, Data Science, and Analytics to establish a resilient and adaptable architecture that drives and supports enterprise analytics foundational platforms. Provide technical leadership and Architecture Strategy guidance for essential Google Cloud Platform Cloud, AI/ML & Analytics projects.
What you'll do...
Design and implement efficient and scalable data models for complex business requirements.
Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into data models.
Optimize database performance by fine-tuning data models and database structures.
Ensure data models comply with data governance and security standards.
Provide guidance and support to the development team on data modeling best practices.
As member of Google Cloud Platform Big Query COE team in optimizing queries, rewriting SQLs, reducing slot time, and improving query execution efficiencies.
Offer guidance on data modeling and provide expert level SAP Power Designer support to product data modeling teams.
Maintain best practices, standards, guidelines, templates, tips, tricks, and techniques for data architecture, including landing, transformation, and curation.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Modelling within Analytics and Transactional domains
Expertise and proficiency in SAP Power Designer data model tool for creating logical and physical data models, including updating xdb files.
Data engineering or equivalent experience of more than 4 years in writing sophisticated SQL queries, analyzing, and optimizing existing queries.
Capable of collaborating effectively across organizations, product teams, and business partners.
Thorough understanding of database concepts and experience with multiple database technologies.

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform Big Query.
Exposure in developing data architecture strategies and standards.
Knowledgeable about data warehouse and data mart concepts, with experience in data ingestion and curation using batch and streaming patterns.
Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field of study.
Proficient in communication, collaboration, and influencing, with the ability to motivate a team.
