Position: IT Project Coordinator
Client: Ferrero
Location: Brantford, ON
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:

The candidate should be familiar with various IT technologies, including networking gear, access points, cabling, handheld devices, workstations, and printers. They do not need to be experts in each or all of them, but they should know enough about how they work so that they can understand the interdependencies and how to test and work with users or vendors to ensure functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and track day-to-day IT project tasks, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Provide organizational support by attending or scheduling meetings and taking detailed meeting notes.
  • Maintain project documentation, including timelines, Visio diagrams, and weekly status reports.
  • Support project managers with project-related paperwork, such as coordinating tasks and working with vendors
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders, providing clear status reports and summaries of goals.
  • Assist with initial testing, error reporting, and feedback for IT systems
  • Create and maintain project timelines.
  • Collaborate across teams to capture requirements, track progress, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Represent IT in meetings, ensuring updates and action items are accurately documented and followed up.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 3 years of experience in IT support, project coordination, or organizational support.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, applications, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and project management tools
  • Excellent communication skills - able to capture technical and business updates clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and proactive in following up on project activities.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices or IT service management tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
  • Experience with process mapping and creating workflow diagrams.
  • Exposure to testing and quality assurance in IT environments.
  • Project management certification (CAPM, CompTIA Project+, or similar) is a plus
