Description

SAIC is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide SETA support to SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.

As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise by reviewing technical security assessments of cloud-based and physical computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies. You will also validate and verify system and cloud security requirements definitions and analysis, as well as establish system security designs.

Job Responsibilities to include:
  • Assist in the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of IA and security systems and security components, including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments such as those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection and classification requirements.
  • Shall be relied upon as an IA/Cyber Security SME helping to manage sensitive programs.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, software engineers, and system engineers to identify and implement the appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application of agency security policies and enterprise solutions.
  • Support the securing of cloud-based computing and development environment.
  • Help enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures.
  • Ensure program preparation activities for assessing and mitigating systems and cloud-based security threats and risks throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, and certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations.
  • Review accreditation and authorization documentation and provide feedback on completeness and content compliance.
  • Participate in engineering teams for the design, development, implementation and or integration of IA architectures, systems, or system components.
  • Support Government client in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
  • Recommend system-level solutions to resolve and meet security requirements.
  • Support the security authorization activities in compliance with the NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), the NIST RMF process, and prescribed NSA/CSS business processes for security engineering.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph.
  • 5 years of experience Cyber Security or DevSecOps.
  • Experience implementing security within Agile development methodologies.
  • Requires an understanding of security with Development Operations frameworks and software supply chains.
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills, and demonstrate an ability to work with customers, employees, and leaders within and outside the organization.
