Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join a dynamic and forward-thinking IT organization. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level data architectures that power analytics, automation, and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Palantir Foundry.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the organization's data strategy and play a key role in transforming how data is used to drive performance, insights, and innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years of experience as a Data Architect/Engineer in Data & Analytics environments.
Proven success designing scalable, efficient, and secure enterprise data architectures.
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
Expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Palantir Foundry.
Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to query, transform, and manipulate data effectively.
Working knowledge of Python or Java for data transformation and automation.
Experience developing custom ETL solutions and automation workflows.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Experience leading teams and managing full-cycle technical project delivery.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security standards.
Prior experience in the retail industry is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture: Design end-to-end data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance to development teams and lead the technical delivery of large-scale data initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business units to gather requirements and recommend optimal data strategies.
Data Integration: Architect and optimize data integration processes from diverse sources while maintaining high standards for data quality, consistency, and availability.
Advanced Analytics: Build data warehouses and analytical models to support real-time analytics, BI reporting, and machine learning.
Performance Optimization: Ensure data architectures are robust, scalable, and efficient.
Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, specifications, and implementation guides.
Training & Enablement: Support knowledge sharing and platform adoption across teams.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of emerging technologies and continuously refine the data ecosystem to improve performance and innovation
