Job Details

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, can handle complex issues independently, and can drive architecture, optimization, and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead administration and advanced configuration of Windows Server (2008 2025)
Drive architecture, optimization, and maintenance of VMware vSphere (8.x preferred)
Lead Azure administration, cloud optimization, and migration activities
Act as a technical expert for server migrations and cloud adoption
Maintain system security protocols, DR planning, and performance tuning
Resolve high-severity and complex issues independently
Partner directly with application teams to design and implement solutions
Lead modernization, upgrade, and migration projects
Occasionally travel to plant locations to support complex onsite needs

Required Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on System Administration experience
Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server and VMware vSphere
Strong and advanced Azure administration experience
Expertise in River Meadow or similar server migration tools
Deep understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
Strong documentation, governance, and process definition experience
Ability to lead cross-team initiatives and strategic infrastructure upgrades

Preferred Experience

Certifications such as MCSE, VCP, Azure Admin Associate
Experience supporting manufacturing or plant-based IT environments
