Job Description:

Apex Systems has an opening available for a REL Documentation Specialist with one of our banking clients out of Winchester, VA. This role will support organizational initiatives by contributing to the development and follow-up analysis of policy and process updates. Provide end-user support for manuals and internal systems. Work under general supervision with limited discretion, developing alternate courses of action based on precedent or policy. Perform moderately complex and varied tasks with moderate impact and limited latitude.

Location: Hybrid in Winchester, VA

Duration: 6+ month contract with the potential to extend/convert full-time

Responsibilities

• Ensure project deliverables meet expectations, timelines, and budget constraints
• Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, stakeholders, and external contacts
• Conduct research and prepare reference materials
• Manage projects effectively from inception through implementation
• Identify, communicate, and resolve technical, tactical, and operational project issues and risks
• Maintain documentation library to ensure process accuracy and currency
• Provide training to end users on electronic manuals and reference materials
• Review proposed policy and procedure changes for technical adequacy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
• Administer and develop internal content platforms
• Conduct and facilitate user acceptance testing, including test case development, execution, and documentation
• Communicate material clearly, concisely, and effectively
• Collaborate with sub-teams to determine user requirements and specifications
• Organize policies and procedures according to established standards
• Recommend communication strategies
• Participate in cross-functional teams and task groups for projects and initiatives
• Write online reference materials, instructions, and communications
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong written communication skills with attention to grammar and style
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet goals
• Experience in researching, compiling, and documenting data, business processes, and workflows
• Experience working in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
• Working knowledge of PC and web/internet-based technologies (e.g., HTML, editing/authoring tools)
• Basic database and presentation software skills
• Ability to translate processes and requirements into easily understood terms
• Initiative and sound judgment in decision-making
• Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant data, guidelines, procedures, and regulations
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Communication Studies or equivalent combination of education and experience
