Description:

We are the Video Operations and Streaming team, responsible for supporting the video delivery and architecture of VOD and Live content streamed on over 15 platforms for our clients. Our team is also responsible for the encoding and delivery of premium content to millions of users every day!

Roles Details:

Our team is seeking an Operations Specialist to join our Live Streaming Technology team. This role will work with Operations, Product, Engineering, and third party vendors. The Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting existing and new live workflows for signal acquisition, video pipeline, monitoring, AI highlights, and video playback validation.

Your Day-to-Day:

Planning and setup of video test streams for existing and new initiatives

Test existing and new features across different systems to ensure full end-to-end compliance

Planning of rollout and execution of new features in lower and production environments

Documentation of streaming architecture, integrations, requirements, and SOPs

Support for migration or integration of new internal or external technologies

Evaluation of new technologies and exploring new POCs

Review of existing workflows to identify areas for improvement and providing recommendations for changes

Performing a root cause analysis for issues

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have

BS/BA Degree Or Knowledge of OTT video streaming architecture for control and data plane

Hands-on experience supporting video streaming platforms related to backend systems for playback, metadata, entitlement and content video pipeline in the cloud and on prem

Hands-on experience with configuration, validation, and troubleshooting HLS, MPEG-DASH, DRM, UHD, 4K, HDR, low latency, SCTE 104/35, ESNI signaling, closed-captions, and dynamic ad insertion

Knowledge of video and audio codecs such as AVC, HEVC, AAC, AC3, E-AC3

Hands-on experience with signal acquisition and distribution for RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi, RIST

Ability to assess and troubleshoot video and audio quality

Passion for new technologies, sports, and entertainment

Motivated and is energized by big challenges with a keen eye for detail

Excellent communication skills

Willingness and open availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to meet the 24/7 operational needs
