Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our Project Estimating team. In this critical role, you will lead the development of detailed, accurate cost estimates for a wide variety of infrastructure and energy-related projects. You ll work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure all estimates are comprehensive, feasible, and aligned with strategic and financial goals.

This position offers exposure to a diverse project portfolio including wind, utility-scale solar, distributed solar, energy storage, transmission & distribution lines, substations, water treatment, 5G & fiber, hydrogen, pipelines, and fossil generation providing significant opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead preparation of conceptual, preliminary, and definitive project cost estimates
  • Perform early-stage design and develop construction plans to quantify scope for estimating
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather project specifications and documentation
  • Analyze costs, perform value engineering, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain and enhance estimating tools, databases, and methodologies
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency cost plans
  • Present cost estimates and value options to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Mentor junior estimators and support knowledge sharing within the team
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors for pricing validation and benchmarking
  • Track project cost performance throughout the lifecycle, updating estimates as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project estimating, preferably with conceptual engineering and design experience
  • Experience in utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects (renewables, generation, transmission)
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
  • Proficient in value engineering and cost optimization techniques
  • Advanced Excel skills; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team player

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s degree or postgraduate education in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business
  • 7+ years of estimating experience with increasing responsibility
  • 2+ years in construction field engineering or project execution roles
  • Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
  • Experience with cost estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX)
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera P6

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Primarily based in a corporate office setting in Juno Beach, FL
  • Occasional travel required for site visits, inspections, and team collaboration
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring excellent time and task management skills
