RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is working with a client in search of an Associate Director of Network Security (Palo Alto or F5) to join their team in New York, NY.
Overview:
As the Associate Director of Network Security at this firm, you will be entrusted with the critical task of safeguarding the organization's network infrastructure. Your primary mission will be to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of firm's network resources, data, and systems. You will lead a team of skilled network security professionals, collaborate closely with IT departments, and engage with stakeholders across various divisions to identify security risks, develop strategic plans, and implement robust solutions to defend against cyber threats. The role is a mixture of hands-on and leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Formulate and execute a comprehensive network security strategy that aligns with the firms' overarching security goals and risk tolerance; Identify vulnerabilities and devise mitigation plans
* Manage and mentor a team of network security experts; Provide direction, training, and support to ensure the team's proficiency in handling security incidents, monitoring network traffic, and implementing security measures
* Design and deploy advanced network security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and secure access controls; Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices
* Establish and maintain incident response protocols to swiftly detect, assess, and address security incidents; Lead investigations, coordinate with relevant teams, and implement corrective actions
* Conduct regular evaluations of the network infrastructure to identify security weaknesses; Collaborate with other security and IT teams to prioritize and mitigate identified risks
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
* Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within network security
* Proficiency with Palo Alto or F5 technologies; Ideally, experience both, however, in depth with either F5 or Palo Alto would suffice
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
