Product Strategy Engineer

Job Title: Product Strategy Engineer

Location: Schaumburg, IL on-site

Salary: $100k-$130k DOE

Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, 5yrs experience in product planning, product development preferred, knowlede of the Machine Tool Industry

Position Overview
The Product Strategy Engineer is responsible for developing and managing the product lifecycle from concept to market introduction. This role includes conducting market research, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that product goals align with company strategy and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and product opportunities
  • Develop and manage product roadmaps and timelines
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development
  • Analyze competitor products and market trends to inform product planning
  • Create detailed product specifications and requirements
  • Manage product launches and coordinate with sales and marketing teams
  • Monitor product performance and make recommendations for improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in product development or product planning
  • Strong knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with research and development in a product context
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
