Position Summary

Job Overview:

Join the Parker Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division as an R&D Engineering Intern for Spring & Summer 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide support in electronics, data acquisition, hydraulics, and testing in our Mentor, OH location. You will work closely with experienced engineers to enhance lab capabilities and contribute to innovative aerospace testing projects.Be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and excellence in aerospace technology. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience and networking opportunities within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the R&D Lab team, taking direction from senior engineers on active projects.

Operate fabrication equipment (e.g., tube bender, drill press, milling machine) and calibration equipment (e.g., viscometer, densometer).

Assist in upgrading hydraulic test stands, including control valves, pumps, and automation systems.

Wire, calibrate, and troubleshoot mechanical, fluid, and thermal sensors for aerospace testing.

Lead calibration efforts for individual lab and production test stands.

Participate in a High-Performance Team environment, contributing to all functions as required.

Present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports.

Support other engineers with projects and tasks as needed.

Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a zero-incident culture.

Qualifications:

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a closely related field, with at least two years of academic coursework completed. Graduate students are also encouraged to apply.

Excellent hands-on skills, including experience with fabrication and soldering/wiring.

Strong communication skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with accurate scientific documentation abilities.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Willingness to travel occasionally to Parker facilities, local universities, and suppliers.

Must be a U.S.Citizen or Permanent Resident

This is an on-site co-op in Mentor, OH (no remote work opportunities)

Must be able to work 40 hours during the Fall Semester 2025 (August - December)
