Senior Business Systems Analyst (Onsite)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. In this role, you will provide analysis and development of asset management processes, procedures, and policy recommendations. Utilizing analytical, modeling, systems administration, and process and data management expertise, this position will support the improvement of the asset management program.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Business Systems Analyst:
- Serve as the organization s primary Point-of-Contact (POC) and technical support to internal clients for complex models (some of which may include up to 70,000 formulas, and query data from multiple databases).
- Provide user support, which may include formal or informal presentations and training in proposed or implemented solutions to technical back end, technological and/or routine issues, and any associated process or system User changes.
- Develop influence diagrams or other conceptual models to define and document relationship and structure analyses.
- Serve as the main project POC on process improvement or data analysis initiatives and efforts; provide input and recommendations to manager for final approval; assist and facilitate with implementation of assigned management-approved projects and initiatives by providing project management and/or business systems analyst expertise.
- Identify and recommend the linking of computer systems or disparate databases to increase compatibility and so information can be shared more widely.
- Develop reports and tools that support management with performance expectations and workload of staff; as well as providing staff with tools to better manage data quality.
- Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings to facilitate requirements gathering; develop / draft and propose technological solutions, process adjustments and/or other improvement efforts.
- Decompose high-level information into details and abstract up from low-level information to resolve solution vs. requirements conflicts.
- Evaluate and assess business process change impacts and recommend appropriate change mitigation activities, including implementation of change management plans.
- Analyze, collect, organize, and validate data and modeling results.
- Apply broad knowledge to Identify and recommend resolutions to core data accuracy, connectivity or other user or modelling problems.
- Provide facilitation and assistance on asset management and quality assurance related issues that may arise.
- Create Access Databases with intuitive user interfaces and robust reporting; design / develop SharePoint sites; produce advanced Excel spreadsheet and Visio flowcharts; and input information into MS Project as requested.
- Maintain, update and revise layout, content and data for assigned (or related) SharePoint sites for area of expertise.
- Serve as the org s primary POC for reporting assistance and technical troubleshooting.
- Develop an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process using a variety of programing languages, including but not limited to VPB, SQL, DAX and Power Query (M Query).
- Create documentation and training materials for a variety of system or process changes, system upgrades, enhancements and/or new functionality; conduct formal or informal training as requested.
Requirements for Senior Business Systems Analyst:
- U.S Citizenship and valid U.S. Driver s License required.
- A degree in Computer/Information Technology, Business Systems or closely related technical field is preferred.
- With an applicable Bachelor s degree, 8 years of experience is required.
- With an applicable Associate s degree, 10+ years of experience is required.
- Without an applicable degree, 12+ years of experience is required.
- Experience should include demonstrated business systems analysis progressively more technical in nature.
- Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and planning initiatives for data integration, requirements / needs gathering, and organization experience.
- Proven skills in business workflow and data workflow management preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise with logical process modeling concepts sufficient to aid in the documentation of requirements preferred.
- Experience as a SharePoint power user with forms, views, and pick lists.
- Strong knowledge of database structure with experience writing complex queries for data from both native and Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) databases.
- Experience in asset management, analyzing operational data, and developing actionable strategies preferred.
