Job Details
Role Overview:
A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for ensuring the quality of product deliverables on the organization's software platform. The overarching objectives of this role are to develop manual and automated QA processes and systems, perform QA testing, and contribute toward the development of our engineering culture.
Role Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining feature and regression testing strategy and plans
- Ensuring the quality of deliverables by performing manual and automated QA testing
- Introducing new test automation where possible
- Promoting a quality mindset throughout the engineering organization
- Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives
- Participating in design reviews, work item refinement, and team retrospectives
- Leading release testing strategy and execution
- Contributing towards the development of engineering best practices
- Fostering collaboration and innovation on the engineering team
- Troubleshooting and debugging application issues
- Participating in organization's Information Security Program as required
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a full-time QA engineer
- Automated testing experience
- RESTful API testing experience
- Experience with agile development practices
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Skills and Experience
- Ruby on Rails testing experience
- Angular testing experience
- Looker testing experience
- Data testing (SQL) experience
- Experience with Heroku, Postgres, Git, and AWS
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Small team experience
