Job Details

Supports engineers in project creation and task completion to support the network project build plan.

Create site design RFDS and complete plumbing diagrams.
Use propagation tools and RF-related equipment, such as MapInfo, Google Earth, and ATOLL, to compare site candidates, review and select propagation and coverage, zoning, and regulatory.

Prepare and submit E-911 filings.
Determination of regulatory coverage boundaries for extensions and FAA/FCC filings.
Prepare necessary zoning justification packages and regulatory filings for sites.
Work closely with the real estate team to increase efficiency, minimize cost, and streamline site acquisition, leasing, and zoning submission processes.
Conduct RFE analysis, generate required reports and documents, and ensure 100% compliance with RFE mitigation standards within the allotted time frame.
Analyze sites and post-activation to ensure project and database accuracy.
Automate processes when opportunities arise and share information with the teams.
Audit and correct internal databases to ensure accurate project implementation and reporting.

Successful candidates must have a demonstrated knowledge in:
4G and 5G network design and implementation
Antennas, RF engineering, transmission, reception, and propagation.
Good understanding of band performance capabilities and limitations.
3GPP Performance KPIs and impacts of design on them.
The effects of outdoor terrain and indoor structures such as walls, floors, and ceilings on signal propagation.
Understanding and use of topographical maps and digital terrain databases.
Antenna system design and use include antenna types (examples might include a Hex/Octo port panel, cross-pol array, etc.), antenna patterns, gain and EIRP, ERP, antenna size, antenna polarization, receive and transmit diversity, MIMO antenna systems, and proper antenna installation to provide coverage and interference mitigation.
Macro site design considerations in urban, sub-urban, and rural environments.
Small cell design considerations in urban and suburban environments.
Analyzing and manipulating large data sets.
5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry
