Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Specialist or Systems Administrator to join our team in Berkeley, California. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in Cisco systems who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a key team member, you will support a variety of small businesses across industries such as finance, education, and hospitality, ensuring their IT infrastructure operates efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco firewalls, including Firepower and ASA devices.

Maintain and optimize Cisco networking equipment, such as Catalyst switches and wireless controllers.

Provide technical support for unified networking solutions, including wireless, switches, and firewalls.

Apply general networking knowledge to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.

Support Linux or Unix systems as part of the broader IT infrastructure.

Deliver exceptional service, ensuring outstanding treatment for clients and their projects.

Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely and effective completion.

Manage Windows environments, ensuring stability and performance.

Collaborate with small businesses across various industries to meet their IT needs.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.

Strong expertise in Cisco systems, including Firepower, ASA firewalls, Catalyst switches, and wireless controllers.

Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.

Familiarity with Unify systems, including wireless, switches, and firewalls.

Proficiency in Linux or Unix operating systems.

Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.

Proven ability to manage projects with a high level of ownership and accountability.

Experience working with Windows environments.

MSP Experience highly desirable
