Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of assistive technologies including screen readers, speech-to-text- software, magnification tools and keyboard and mouse emulator products
Experience with Section 508 standards and accessibility policies and regulations including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
2-3 years of experience in business analysis, project management, IT Management, or other related experience
2-3 years of experience and hands-on knowledge with application development, requirement gathering, test case development, and creating workflows
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (for data analysis) and Visio (for process modeling)
Experience gathering requirements from stakeholders (e.g., interviews, surveys, workshops)
Ability to create clear and concise documentation of business requirements, use cases, and process flows
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as within project teams, providing relevant system analysis services
Highly analytical, with the ability to independently analyze, document findings and recommend solutions
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1-3 years of digital accessibility development and testing experience involving automated and manual tools and assistive technologies
Experience and working knowledge of content management systems (Drupal) and reporting tools (Editoria11y and SiteImprove) for analysis
Client is seeking a highly collaborative and effective Digital Accessibility Business Analyst to provide business analysis and support for Client's digital accessibility projects and services. This position will work closely with the Client's Secretariat IT Accessibility Officer to identify issues and process improvements related to accessibility compliance and policy. This role will focus on assisting as we identify and track accessibility deliverables and engagements with partners across Client. The ideal candidate will have proven success in documenting and supporting change in a technology environment. This role will actively document and help re-engineer business processes focused on accessibility and digital assets, in alignment with the enterprise strategic plan. The candidate will interact with business representatives across Client and act as a liaison between constituent services and technical solutions/support groups to identify business process and program requirements and research, recommend, and align solutions for business problems as they're identified.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and usability standards aligned with enterprise accessibility guidelines
Produce work products, as appropriate, including business requirements documentation, workflows, business rules, process flows/models using Visio, and training materials/job aids for accessibility
Provide recommendations to refine business processes related to accessibility and associated
Provide Tier II level support for tracking accessibility defects and issues.
Assist content managers with review of agency collections and content for accessibility needs.
Develop readiness assessments and associated reporting and metrics.
Build subject matter and mission expertise in each agency business model and productive relationships with customers.
Document business requirements for accessibility, providing guidance to refine processes to conform with compliance standards
Review system changes requests to ensure completeness with respect to accessibility compliance
Collaborate with development, design, content and other teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure that accessibility requirements are incorporated into processes and procedures
Collaborate with the Secretariat IT Accessibility Officer to work on additional projects as assigned
