Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain DB2 LUW databases across various environments.
Perform database tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues related to performance, replication, and storage.
Implement and maintain database security policies, including user roles and access control.
Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to support DB2 integration and upgrades.
Create and maintain automation scripts for routine DBA tasks and reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a DB2 LUW DBA.
Proficiency in DB2 utilities, SQL scripting, and shell scripting.
Strong knowledge of backup/recovery solutions, high availability, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with monitoring tools and database automation.
Good analytical and communication skills.
