Job Title: Mid-level Infrastructure Administrator
Location: Bethesda, MD
CyberData Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Administrator to join our team supporting the contract s clinic high-availability IT infrastructure and overall operations. This role requires a strong understanding of network administration, clinical IT systems, and high-availability environments, along with specific technical skills and problem-solving capabilities. This is a hybrid position and will require on-site, evening, and weekend support at times.
Responsibilities:
Network Administration and IT Operations:
- Provide production support for networked systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues at the second level of support.
- Escalate and communicate status updates to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide after hours and on-call monitoring and support for the clinic s critical systems as part of a rotation, including after-hours response for urgent issues as defined by the clinic SLA.
Clinic IT Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and monitor the clinic s high-availability IT infrastructure, including Nutanix clusters running Acropolis (AHV), Nutanix Files Storage, and Nutanix DR solutions.
- Maintain clinic systems across production and disaster recovery sites.
- Support clinical IT systems, including configuration and ongoing maintenance.
- Address IT-related issues within defined response times as outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Ensure compliance with NIH security standards, applying updates, and managing exemption waivers when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs for vendor access and perform regular system backups.
- Create, update and follow all SOP s as written for managing the clinic s systems.
System Maintenance and Security:
- Apply security updates and patches following NIH remediation timelines and clinic SOPs.
- Ensure adherence to FDA guidelines for updates to approved systems.
- Perform after-hours and weekend system maintenance with proper authorization.
- Conduct regular Continuity Plan testing and prepare findings for reports.
- Support database and backup administrators as needed.
- Maintain clinic systems inventory in the Configuration Management System (CMS) and track all changes per change management guidelines.
Assessment and Reporting:
- Complete monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual tasks for Security Assessment & Accreditation (SA&A).
- Review daily clinic infrastructure emails and act on system alerts and notifications.
- Conduct system audits and provide findings to maintain operational integrity.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in high-availability environments.
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure and virtualization, preferably using Nutanix HCI (AOS, Acropolis AHV, Nutanix Files, DR solutions).
- Experience with PowerShell, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Servers (2012-2022).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols.
- Solid understanding of ServiceNow ITSM platform to manage incident tickets, Configuration Management System (CMS), and Knowledge Base (KB) content, while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in network and system administration.
- Ability to balance operational and project demands in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative with task-management and issue resolution.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with technical staff, clinicians, and management.
- Attention to detail including experience writing and following SOPs in a regulated environment.
Certifications:
- Required/Preferred Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+.
- ITIL Foundation
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) (preferred).
- Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA) or greater.
