Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, access points, firewalls).
Set up, maintain, and repair alarm/security systems including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
Perform system testing, diagnostics, and end-to-end validation.
Handle cabling tasks: running cables, punching down connections, termination, labeling, and documentation.
Monitor system performance and respond to alarms, outages, and service requests.
Ensure all installations meet industry standards, codes, and customer requirements.
Work with field teams, vendors, and support engineers to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, system changes, and inventory.
Required Skills & Experience:
3+ years of experience as a Network Technician, Field Technician, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with alarm/security systems (burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control).
Strong understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, and basic routing.
Experience with network tools (Fluke, cable testers, toners, etc.).
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
Knowledge of network cabling standards (Cat5e/Cat6).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
