Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, access points, firewalls).

  • Set up, maintain, and repair alarm/security systems including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.

  • Perform system testing, diagnostics, and end-to-end validation.

  • Handle cabling tasks: running cables, punching down connections, termination, labeling, and documentation.

  • Monitor system performance and respond to alarms, outages, and service requests.

  • Ensure all installations meet industry standards, codes, and customer requirements.

  • Work with field teams, vendors, and support engineers to resolve issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, system changes, and inventory.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Technician, Field Technician, or similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with alarm/security systems (burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control).

  • Strong understanding of IP networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, and basic routing.

  • Experience with network tools (Fluke, cable testers, toners, etc.).

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics.

  • Knowledge of network cabling standards (Cat5e/Cat6).

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
