Mergers and Acquisitions Security Engineer/Integration Specialist
The Security M&A Engineer/Integration Specialist is responsible for supporting The Group s merger and acquisition activity, with a focus on integration to ensure a smooth Transfer to Operations (TTO). The role reports to the Director of Security M&A, and functions as a member of the Information Protection team. The Security M&A Engineer/Integration Specialist interacts primarily with teams within security as well as product owners from infrastructure to execute on Security related technology integration activities and ensure alignment of integration activities with enterprise security strategy. This also includes integration activity related to divestiture, as well as Joint Ventures, non-integrated subsidiaries, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
Execute on M&A security playbooks for acquisition and divestiture, in partnership with internal security teams and infrastructure teams such as Identity & Access Management, Network and Email/Active Directory.
Protect the integrity and confidentiality of data and infrastructure, while enabling business functionality in all systems and environments by implementing applicable security solutions.
Assist in the technical implementation of the suite of security tools during post-close and integration, including support for the deployment and policy configuration.
Act as a liaison between acquired technology teams and internal security teams for incident response activities for M&A related security incidents
Assist in the design and implementation of security projects as well as provide ongoing operational support
Gather and report on key organizational information security metrics
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to assignment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Related certifications (e.g., GSEC, CISSP, AWS) preferred
At least 2 years experience in an Information Security role, preferably as Security Engineer
At least 2 years experience in mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture
Possess knowledge & experience in a wide variety of security capabilities (endpoint, data center, network, data security, scanning/prevention, and forensics), or be willing to learn very quickly.
Proven skill at balancing technical knowledge with business possibility and acumen
Ability to operate collaboratively, and use influence among multiple technology engineering teams to achieve the integration goal for the entity
Understanding of various integration strategies to meet changing business needs
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and drive decision making.
Ability to evaluate business processes, technology, identify security risks, process gaps, and evaluate security controls
Organizational skills to prioritize risks and actions using a risk-based approach
Manage technical projects working across multiple lines of business with multiple stakeholders
Understanding of industry security standards, guidelines, and regulatory/compliance requirements related to information security such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC2, PCI, SOX, FedRAMP etc.
Experience working with and managing Active Directory
Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure preferred
Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts including TCP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, VPN, and Web proxies
Understanding of email transmission, routing, and authentication concepts including SMTP, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
Understanding of vulnerability assessment and patch management practices
Knowledge of Windows Event and network device logging including syslog and SIEM
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables
High flexibility, including willingness to travel up to 20% of working time
