Description

SAIC is hiring a Windows System Administrator to be located in Pensacola, FL. The successful candidate will be the primary technical resource for Microsoft Windows system administration in a classified environment. This position requires the ability to assist with the architectural, engineering, and administration of Windows Server and VMware infrastructure, as well as participate in the change process and incident response processes.

The Windows System Administrator will perform:
  • Routine system administration for an offline/disconnected Microsoft Active Directory domain. Manages core services to include Active Directory services, DNS, DHCP, Antivirus (ePO/Trellix), Radius, WDS, MECM, and VEEAM.
  • System installation, upgrades, and patching for Microsoft Windows and VMware vSphere systems.
  • System and user data backup & restores with VEEAM.
  • Implementation of DISA STIG security configurations and vendor best practices.
  • Daily reviews of ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans to resolve patching issues.

Qualifications

Required experience and education:
  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:
  • A minimum of two years of experience managing server infrastructure to include upgrading, patching, and managing Windows Server 2019/2022.
  • Hands on experience using automated solutions to implement security patches and deploy software updates with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management, SCCM, or other third party applications.
  • Ability to develop PowerShell scripts to install or remove Windows software and/or features.
  • Experience with DISA STIG configuration for Windows operating systems and a strong understanding of group policy.
  • Familiarity with automated tools such as Eval-STIG.
  • Experience using a trouble ticketing system such as Service Now
  • Experience reviewing ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans and remediating vulnerabilities on Windows and VMware systems.

Required certifications:
  • Must have an active CompTIA Security+ ce certification.
  • Must be able to obtain (and maintain) Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate certification within six months of hire.

Clearance required:
  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
