  • Architect scalable Lakehouse and data warehouse models in Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
  • Ensure data lineage, quality, and compliance aligned with regulatory standards.

Reporting & Analytics Delivery
  • Deliver executive and operational dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, and Cognos.
  • Standardize KPIs and reporting structures for loss ratios, claim trends, policy retention, premium analysis, and other key insurance metrics.
  • Support ad hoc requests and exploratory data needs with governed datasets.
  • Promote data literacy and analytics adoption across the enterprise.

Database Administration Oversight
  • Manage DBA team responsible for maintaining enterprise databases (SQL Server, cloud databases, Fabric).
  • Ensure database availability, performance tuning, indexing strategies, backup/recovery, and data security.
  • Provide guidance on data architecture, storage optimization, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Enforce database change controls and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Operational & Agile Excellence
  • Lead Agile ceremonies, backlog prioritization, and team velocity monitoring.
  • Collaborate with business product owners and technical leads for continuous value delivery.
  • Ensure quality through code reviews, peer testing, and technical documentation.
  • Stay current with advancements in Microsoft Fabric, Azure, BI tools, and insurance data trends.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in insurance data and analytics leadership, including managing cross-functional technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Pipelines, Warehouses, and Power BI integration.
  • Strong technical skills with SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, Cognos, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Guidewire data models and ETL/integration workflows.
  • Proven experience managing or working closely with DBAs, with knowledge of database tuning, replication, security, and recovery strategies.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Demonstrated success in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred Skills:
