Business Analyst FIX Messaging & Middle Office Allocation Platform
Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable Business Analyst with deep experience in FIX messaging and Middle Office allocation workflows to support a major initiative focused on integrating Equities, Options, Futures, and Fixed Income allocation flows into a centralized platform. This role is ideal for someone who understands the intricacies of post-trade processing and can bridge the gap between business and technology to enhance electronic trade allocation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Technology, Operations, and Front Office teams to gather and refine requirements around trade allocation and post-trade workflows.
Analyze FIX messages and allocation events (e.g., 35=J, P, AK) to ensure accurate integration across a centralized allocation platform.
Drive documentation of current vs. future state processes for multi-asset class allocations, identifying inefficiencies and proposing streamlined solutions.
Support full lifecycle of UAT, including test planning, execution, and defect triage related to FIX-based trade flow validations.
Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into system changes and enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with FIX messaging protocol, especially in allocation and confirmation workflows.
- Proven ability to work across asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, Options, and Futures.
- Experience supporting centralized trade allocation platforms or large-scale middle office transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Agile delivery environments and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
