ABOUT THE JOB

Are you looking to join a team leading digital transformation and extreme innovation? US AI is seeking a driven, ambitious Data Engineer to join our team. This role will have a deep understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, reporting, and a basic understanding of data science techniques and workflows. The person in this position must be deeply committed to facilitating a vigorous environment of high productivity, positivity, transparency, and shared commitment to the company s goals and mission. This person must be highly dependable, with strong capacities to work independently. Members of the Data Team will be part of a nimble program and require the capacity to respond rapidly to evolving goals.

WHAT YOU LL DO

  • Ingest and aggregate data from both internal and external data sources to build our world-class datasets and make them ready for consumption by our data scientists and stakeholders.
  • Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks.
  • Leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery.
  • Help drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve data quality.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, developers, and stakeholders, taking learning and leadership opportunities that will arise every single day.
  • Work in cross functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate, and deliver on new product objectives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with high volume heterogeneous data, preferably with tools such as Prefect, Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, Cloudera, Databricks, MongoDB, EMR, RDS, and Redshift.
  • Experience with one or more data processing frameworks, data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
  • Experience with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
  • Experience with data ingestion via API and/or web scraping/crawling at scale.
  • Experience with productivity applications such as GitLab, GitHub, and Asana.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Strong skills and experience with SQL and NoSQL.
  • Knowledge of data workflows and machine learning lifecycles.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • You must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or higher) ship required

COMPENSATION

  • $55,000-$125,000 per year based on skills, experience
