Job Title

AI Platform LLMOps Engineer

About your role:
You will join Fiserv to help advance enterprise AI capabilities that support our clients and regulated product lines. You will design, deploy, and maintain LLM-driven services and supporting infrastructure, partnering with product, data, and risk teams to deliver reliable, compliant AI solutions. The role focuses on lifecycle management, evaluation, and production-grade integration of models and retrieval systems.

What you'll do:

  • Deploy, version, and manage LLMs, adapters, and fine-tuned variants through a centralized model registry and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design and automate pipelines for training, validation, canary releases, rollbacks, and continuous fine-tuning loops.
  • Build evaluation frameworks for task accuracy, safety, bias, and hallucination detection; run offline and online evaluations including human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Implement telemetry, drift detection, and performance dashboards for models and embeddings.
  • Partner with data engineers to maintain knowledge graph and vector store infrastructure; develop ingestion, ontology update, and embedding refresh pipelines with domain isolation.
  • Manage lightweight fine-tuning (LoRA/PEFT), curate/preprocess datasets, and track model performance deltas while maintaining compliance guardrails.
  • Collaborate with product managers, compliance, security, and risk teams to define evaluation benchmarks and ensure responsible AI practices.
  • Provide technical guidance, SDKs, and documentation for developers integrating LLMs into products.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in Python development and LLM frameworks (Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, PEFT/LoRA).
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud platforms and container orchestration (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes/Openshift, Docker).
  • 8+ years of experience in model lifecycle management and MLOps tooling (model registries, ML CI/CD, Terraform/Helm integration).
  • 6+ years of experience in knowledge graphs and vector search technologies (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, Weaviate, Pinecone, FAISS).
  • 6+ years of experience in database design and data modeling for large-scale AI datasets (PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MongoDB).
  • 6+ years of experience in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tooling (Terraform, Helm, Gitlab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Prior experience in enterprise AI governance, compliance, safety, and data privacy frameworks.
  • Direct with evaluation and observability platforms (LangSmith, Weights & Biases, PromptFoo, TruEra).
  • Experience working in regulated industries (finance, insurance, healthcare).
  • Background implementing continuous retraining/fine-tuning loops and model performance rollback strategies.
  • Exposure to multi-tenant systems design and role-based access controls (RBAC) for model and data isolation.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.

Sponsorship:

  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
