Salary 110K Base + 5K Variable Pay + Benefits.

Required Skill :

SQL Server, Application DBA, Good at Performance Tuning, Performance optimization, Database Troubleshooting. Data Migration experience would be a plus.

Note: Application DBA is the requirement and not Infrastructure DBA.

Job Title: Application DBA - SQL Server

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application DBA with expertise in SQL Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance tuning, performance optimization, and database troubleshooting. Experience with data migration is a plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and integrity of our SQL Server databases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and optimize SQL Server database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues

- Develop and implement database performance tuning and optimization strategies

- Troubleshoot database issues, including data corruption, performance degradation, and connectivity problems

- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements

- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data models, entity-relationship diagrams, and database design documents

- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and best practices

- Plan and execute data migrations, upgrades, and other database maintenance tasks

- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize database requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience as an Application DBA, with a focus on SQL Server

- Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques

- Experience with database design, development, and troubleshooting

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Experience with data migration tools and techniques (desired)

- Certification in SQL Server or related technology (desired)

Nice to Have:

- Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database)

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins)

- Experience with database automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
