Position Summary:We are seeking a
Security Analyst with deep expertise in
mainframe security to support a high-impact vulnerability management initiative. This role involves hands-on execution, interfacing with client teams, and guiding security standards across z/OS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ACF2, TSS, RACF, and zSecure Audit, along with excellent communication and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute day-to-day tactical project tasks, including detailed data analysis and documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert in mainframe security systems: ACF2, TSS, and RACF.
- Guide asset modeling and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Provide training and support to client staff on internal vulnerability management tools.
- Define and implement z/OS hardening standards, security controls, and remediation strategies.
- Serve as a liaison between mainframe engineering and information security teams.
- Leverage z/OS RACF STIG in hardening efforts.
- Utilize zSecure Audit for compliance and security assessments.
Required Qualifications:- 7-10 years of experience with zSecure Audit.
- Strong knowledge of ACF2, TSS, RACF, and z/OS security.
- Experience implementing z/OS RACF STIG.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- Background in z/OS security consulting or penetration testing.
- Experience supporting or developing custom vulnerability management tools.
