Job Title: Business Sytems Analyst
Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Possibility of Extension)
Location: Juno Beach FL - Fully Onsite
Client: Energy Company - Will be disclosed on call
Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2/C2C

Position Summary:

This analyst will lead efforts in application upgrades and cloud migrations, redesigning interfaces, resolving connectivity and firewall challenges, and ensuring compliance in collaboration with cybersecurity and internal IT teams. You will manage the lifecycle of critical business applications, applying a human-centric approach to problem-solving, mentoring junior analysts, and serving as a key liaison between CBUs, IT, and external vendors. Strong statistical analysis skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and proficiency with tools like SQL, Sisense, and BI platforms are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct medium-to-large projects by applying operational and statistical analyses to inform key business decisions.

  • Lead and mentor lower-level analysts, providing strategic guidance and technical coaching.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Corporate Business Units and IT, ensuring streamlined communication and delivery.

  • Manage upgrades and cloud migrations for on-premises applications, troubleshoot connectivity, firewall, and infrastructure-related issues.

  • Analyze complex application issues, configuration anomalies, and system failures across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, etc.).

  • Coordinate and support vendor interactions, SSO-integrated applications, and compliance-related configurations.

  • Execute and troubleshoot SQL scripts, monitor application logs, and maintain supporting documentation.

  • Identify and implement cost-effective technology improvements and system enhancements.

  • Support data governance, SOX compliance, and change management procedures.

  • Perform QA testing, manage test plans, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Stay informed on emerging technology trends and security standards.

  • Ensure effective project execution, ownership of assigned work, and delivery on time and within scope.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree preferred with 8+ years of related experience in IT systems analysis and business process improvement.

  • Demonstrated experience with business requirements gathering (BRDs), process optimization, and analytics-driven insights.

  • Familiarity with applications used in Legal and Compliance (e.g., EnCase, Relativity, Claims).

  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Expertise in Power BI, MS Power Apps, Business Objects, and dashboarding/reporting tools.

  • Solid grasp of Agile methodologies, SOX compliance, and General Computer Control (GCC) frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Linux RHEL, Active Directory, MS SQL, Oracle, and server administration.

  • Experience with cybersecurity stacks, DNS, load balancers, VMware, Git, Docker, Azure AD, AWS, and cloud-based security tools.

  • Ability to analyze and act on operational data to drive strategic improvements in application performance and usability.
