Position Summary

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the company's computer networks. This role focuses on planning and implementing solutions for critical infrastructure initiatives while supporting the strategic vision established by the Network Architect.

In close collaboration with the Network Architect-who leads the design, development, and delivery of innovative networking solutions-the Senior Network Engineer provides high-level technical guidance and hands-on support across the enterprise network. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and guiding a team of engineers in troubleshooting complex network issues and enhancing overall network performance and reliability.

The Senior Network Engineer serves as a critical link between architectural strategy and day-to-day operational execution, ensuring the network infrastructure continuously evolves to meet dynamic business requirements and leverages the latest technological advancements. This role involves close collaboration with Group and Division leadership, subject matter experts, and third-party vendors to guarantee solutions are aligned with organizational objectives and adhere to industry best practices.

Network Implementation: Provide direct support for network infrastructure and systems while ensuring that network diagrams and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and thoroughly maintained.

Project Leadership: Lead or co-lead complex and/or global network projects and tasks. Delivering business results that meet deadlines. Provide guidance to project resources across multiple teams as needed.

Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze and confirm information demands and functional requirements.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance to identify necessary adjustments and improvements.

System Analysis: Perform system analysis, interpret data to identify gaps in technology solutions or processes, and make recommendations within the IT and/or business function.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to teams involved in deployment and support activities.

System Stability: Ensure the stability of the working environment before, during, and after system updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in networking, network security, or other closely related area and a minimum of 4 years of related IT experience in routing, network segmentation, security controls, DNS, DHCP, etc. Proficiency with hardware/software vendors including Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Infoblox, Zscaler, and SolarWinds.

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Current certifications in networking technologies such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc. or CompTIA Network+
  • Experience with Service Now platform usage and development
  • Knowledgeable in Power BI Development
  • Experience with strategic planning and budgeting processes
  • Familiarity with third-party IT service providers and vendor management.
