Job Description
As an Engineer Technician I, you will provide support to engineers on technical projects and products in an entry-level position where you'll be learning job skills and becoming familiar with company policies. This role is responsible for collecting, maintaining, organizing, compiling, and manipulating technical data while supporting the production team in developing acoustic device countermeasures.
Your work will be performed primarily in a production lab facility rather than in a traditional office environment. You'll support production deliverables for customers through testing, inspection, and quality assurance activities on incoming parts and components. This position offers excellent opportunities for growth and development within the engineering team.
The ideal candidate brings IPC 610 certification, experience with production/inspection tools and equipment, and is ready to learn in a hands-on technical environment supporting critical defense programs.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to engineers on projects and products related to acoustic device countermeasures.
- Collect, maintain, organize, compile, and manipulate technical data as required.
- Create, build, assemble, modify and/or repair prototypes under supervision.
- Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics).
- Perform mathematical calculations per engineering specifications.
- Undertake analyses of data where guidelines are provided.
- Recommend alternative solutions to problems and obstacles encountered.
- Set up and conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering analysis.
- Support production team in producing deliverables for customers.
- Perform testing and inspection on parts and components that come into the facility.
- Assist with quality assurance activities and production inspections.
- Complete assigned tasks daily and assist with various inspections and testing procedures.
- Learn and apply company policies and technical procedures.
- Support development of acoustic device countermeasures.
Required Experience/Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- IPC 610 Certification required.
- Experience with production/inspection tools and equipment.
- Ability to learn job skills and become familiar with company policies.
- Willingness to work in a production lab facility environment.
- Basic understanding of technical documentation and data collection.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and follow engineering specifications.
- Strong attention to detail for inspection and testing activities.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance when needed.
- SECRET security clearance.
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Background in electronics or mechanical assembly.
- Additional technical certifications related to production or inspection.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or coursework in engineering or related field preferred.
- Hourly rate: $26.37
- Contract through January 9, 2026 with possibility of extension
