Overview
We're currently partnered with a leading systems integrator on a multi-year program (4.5 years) supporting a major utility client. This long-term initiative is based across Denver, CO, and Minneapolis, MN, with a hybrid travel model between the two locations. While the exact schedule and travel cadence are being finalized, some on-site presence will be required-particularly during the blueprinting phase.
This opportunity is ideal for a senior SAP professional looking to take on a strategic, visible technical leadership role in a complex, enterprise-scale environment. The anticipated start date is January 2026.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship or status. A background check is required.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the SAP Technical Architect for a major utility transformation program, ensuring architectural alignment across SAP CIS (Customer Information System), CRM, and integration components.
- Lead the technical design, integration strategy, and landscape planning for SAP S/4HANA and RISE environments.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, and business teams to define scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
- Oversee integration between SAP and Salesforce as the CRM platform, ensuring data consistency and performance optimization.
- Provide guidance on SAP RISE architecture, cloud adoption, and technical governance best practices.
- Support blueprinting, design reviews, and technical validation activities across functional workstreams.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and security policies while enabling flexibility for evolving project needs.
- Mentor technical team members and contribute to architectural roadmaps and documentation.
- Partner with the client and integration teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and evolve SAP solutions over the life of the program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of SAP technical experience, with deep expertise in architecture, integration, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in SAP CIS (Customer Information System) within the utilities sector.
- Hands-on experience with SAP RISE, S/4HANA, and SAP Cloud Platform (BTP).
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and CRM-related data flows.
- Proficiency with ABAP, Fiori/UI5, OData, IDoc, RFC, and API technologies.
- Strong understanding of SAP security, performance tuning, and landscape design best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
- SAP certifications in relevant areas (Technical Architecture, S/4HANA, or Utilities) are a plus.
