Technical Lead

The Work: We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and deployment of Pega-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Pega platform, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of enterprise software development. The Technical Lead will work closely with developers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical implementations and business objectives.

Job Location: Local to Washington DC area, ability to go into client office as needed.

What You Will Do:
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Pega development within the project team.
  • Oversee and mentor developers, providing guidance on Pega design, implementation, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and system architecture.
  • Guide and mentor developers through code reviews, best practices, and professional development.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability by enforcing good development standards.
  • Manage project timelines, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact or benefit to the business.
  • Assist in the setting up of environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.
  • Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What You Will Bring With You:
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Highschool degree with at least 10 years in a leadership or technical lead role
  • 6+ years of experience with Pega PRPC, including system architecture, design, and development.

What We Would Like You To Bring With You:
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven) in a Pega context.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based deployments (e.g., Pega Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Exposure to Java, RDBMS, or other complementary technologies.
  • Experience working on a project using the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Experience in a software development team building modern software products.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments or on government contracts.
