Your Impact
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments across both platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure as code, and will work closely with DevSecOps, Security & Compliance, and Cybersecurity Analysts to ensure our cloud infrastructure meets the highest standards of reliability, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure) with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Work with Cybersecurity Analysts to monitor and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
- Implement and manage high availability, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling solutions across cloud platforms.
- Manage and optimize cloud-native managed services such as RDS, S3, DynamoDB, Azure SQL, Azure App Services, and others.
- Optimize cloud costs through resource right-sizing, reserved instances, and usage monitoring.
- Maintain and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, AWS Config, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Document infrastructure designs, procedures, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS and Azure.
- Certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep).
- Strong understanding of networking, IAM, VPC/subnet design, and security best practices in both AWS and Azure.
- Experience working in DevSecOps environments and collaborating with security teams.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- AWS Certified Security Specialty or Azure Security Engineer Associate.is a plus
- Experience managing multi-account/multi-subscription environments and landing zone frameworks.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, compliance frameworks, and incident response.
