Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Develop trading systems for Derivative Products such as Foreign Exchange (FX) and Structured Products (SP), utilizing complex logics and implementations through JPMorgan's Connect Platform to support real- time pricing, order execution, risk, and regulatory management. Modernize the applications architecture using JPMorgan-approved tools such as Gliffy, Dynatrace, Splunk and FinOps Explorer to optimize performance, reduce costs, and ensure alignment with evolving business needs. Optimize code for performance and scalability by leveraging Spring Boot's features, such as asynchronous process execution, caching, and parallel processing. Develop user-friendly web interfaces using the React framework to interact with backend microservices built with Spring Boot and other Java frameworks, providing real-time data and trading capabilities. Deploy these applications on AWS and GAIA (a private cloud) for scalability, reliability, and flexibility using JPMorgan's tools such as Jules and JET. Integrate with market data feeds, trading platforms, and Regulatory Control Systems (RCS) using REST APIs and industry-standard messaging protocols like FIX to ensure seamless data flow and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain a robust trading platform, utilizing benchmark testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Selenium to ensure the quality and reliability of the Java applications and React.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Design and deploy scalable and distributed microservices on AWS and a company's internal private cloud using advanced Java features such as streams, multi- threading, data structures, J2EE, Spring Boot, Kafka, Hibernate, JMS, FIX Protocol, JSON/XML frameworks, GraphQL, Kafka Streams, Ehcache(caching framework); relational databases such as Sybase, Oracle, and IBM DB2; NoSQL databases such as MongoDB; Improve database queries to enhance application performance and efficiency; Testing and automation frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber; performing black box testing, functional testing, acceptance testing, and white box testing methodologies; React, JavaScript, CSS, and Node js for UI/Web development; using SDLC tools such as JIRA, Git, and Jenkins; Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid SDLC methodologies; analytics frameworks such as QlikView and Tableau; and embrace DevOps methodologies using Continuous Integration and Continuous Development pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes to create an automated build and deployment process.
