Job Details

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Management Systems Engineer/ISO Engineer or a direct hire full-time opportunity in the west suburbs of Columbus, OH. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years 5 years of experience in ISO 9001 and quality management within a manufacturing environment. The QMS/ISO Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Salary Range: $70-90K plus stock options and profit sharing!

Quality Management Systems Engineer/ISO Engineer job responsibilities include:
  • Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive QMS that aligns with ISO standards and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to assess QMS effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address non-conformities and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation, records, and procedures are maintained and updated as needed.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews to ensure adherence to ISO requirements and applicable laws.
  • Represent the organization in regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QMS effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
  • Drive a culture of quality and customer satisfaction throughout the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to employees on QMS requirements, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with management, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure QMS alignment with organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively on QMS status, progress, and challenges.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or Science discipline, quality management, or other similar technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001) and their application to manufacturing processes.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., quality management software, Microsoft Office).
  • Must be able to travel internationally. Trips are typically 1 - 2 weeks in duration.
