Overview: We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with extensive experience in Azure DevOps to join our dynamic team supporting a critical Tier-0 service. As part of our centralized digital identity project, you will play a key role in ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps Pipelines, YAML, and Bicep, alongside solid experience with Git or comparable source control. Your work will directly contribute to the maintenance and optimization of an enterprise-level platform while working with cutting-edge technologies for a high-visibility initiative within the company. This role requires strong time management skills, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure, especially during outages. As this is a Tier-0 service, on-call duties will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployment and continuous integration.
  • Utilize YAML and Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement best practices for DevOps methodologies.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for pipeline issues, service outages, and critical system failures in a highly available, 24/7 production environment.
  • Maintain and manage version control using Git or comparable source control platforms.
  • Participate in on-call rotation, responding to and resolving critical production issues, ensuring minimal downtime for the service.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of CI/CD strategies for the digital identity platform, ensuring seamless integration with other services and systems.
  • Provide architectural guidance and ensure that solutions adhere to industry best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements to avoid future disruptions.
  • Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and improve platform reliability.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives for CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) processes and strategies, especially in the context of large-scale, mission-critical identity platforms.
