Job Description:
Looking for a SQL data engineer with SSIS and excellent database skills including experience with SQL server, queries, stored procs in a data warehouse environment.
The goal of this position is to help drive integration between various data management programs. Current & new systems are being added to bring in more data, more extracts, more transformations, more loads, and more puzzles that we get to solve. The individual has to be a hands-on developer with 7+ years of experience with delivering enterprise-level systems.
Responsibilities:
- Understand business requirements and translate them into data and technical requirements
- Create and maintain high functioning ETL using SSIS for inbound, outbound, and internal datasets.
- Design and develop SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scheduled tasks to manipulate data in a repeatable and automated manner.
- Ready to take ad-hoc request from business for data extracts and various reports.
- Design and execute test scripts and test scenarios
- Perform all data handling in accordance with guidelines, and with security and privacy requirements in mind.
- Support the team and peers through collaborative coding, design sessions, and peer code review
Requirements:
- 7+ years' experience in ETL development
- 7+ years SQL Server (SQL management and internals knowledge needed)
- Experience should include working with business team as well as technical resources
- Demonstrated experience in developing creative solutions to technology challenges
- Solid technical background with hands-on experience in ETL and/or software development, SQL queries, and database technologies
- Experience with Microsoft data technologies, including SQL Server, VS, SSIS,
- Experience with the software development life cycle
- Independent and collaborative worker who takes the initiative to identify and function well to new opportunities and projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
