Job Title: Scrum Master Healthcare Domain

Experience Required: 8-10 + years as Scrum Master, 4+ years in Healthcare IT projects
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in healthcare IT systems to guide Agile teams through the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Agile principles, proven success in removing obstacles, and hands-on experience in healthcare data, compliance, or clinical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives)
Support Product Owners in backlog grooming and story refinement
Coach and mentor team members on Agile/Scrum best practices
Identify and remove roadblocks to team progress
Track and report key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.)
Ensure Agile practices align with healthcare regulations and compliance (HIPAA, HL7, etc.)
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across dev, QA, product, and stakeholder teams
Act as a servant leader and advocate for Agile principles
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments
At least 3 years of experience working on healthcare projects (EHR, claims processing, payer/provider systems, etc.)
Solid understanding of healthcare standards such as HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, ICD-10, etc.
Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and team-building skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Rally, or Azure DevOps
Familiarity with SAFe, LeSS, or other scaled Agile frameworks
Prior experience in payer, provider, or health tech startup environments
Knowledge of healthcare data workflows and regulatory compliance
