Job Title: PLM Teamcenter Business Analyst

Location: Remote

Job Summary

The PLM Teamcenter Business Analyst will serve as a key liaison between Apple s product development teams and IT/Engineering to drive enhancements, integrations, and process optimizations within the Siemens Teamcenter PLM platform. This role requires deep expertise in Teamcenter configuration, workflows, and integrations with CAD and ERP systems, along with strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Apple s engineering, manufacturing, and design teams to gather and document business requirements related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.

Translate functional business needs into Teamcenter configurations, data models, and workflow designs.

Collaborate with PLM architects and developers to design and deliver scalable, high-performing PLM solutions.

Support new product introduction (NPI) workflows and ensure PLM system alignment with Apple s global engineering processes.

Conduct gap analysis between current and desired PLM capabilities; recommend system and process improvements.

Prepare functional specifications, use cases, test plans, and user documentation for Teamcenter enhancements.

Lead or support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and post-production validation activities.

Partner with cross-functional IT teams to ensure integration between Teamcenter, CAD (NX, CATIA, Creo), ERP (SAP), and MES systems.

Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and ongoing system optimization recommendations.

Support data migration and digital thread initiatives for Apple s hardware product teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

5 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in PLM systems (preferably Teamcenter).

Strong understanding of Teamcenter modules such as:

BOM Management (BOMLine, Structure Manager)

Change Management (ECR, ECO, ECN)

Workflow Designer

Document and CAD Data Management

Experience with Teamcenter Active Workspace (AWC) and Teamcenter Unified Architecture (UA).

Solid grasp of product data structures, part numbering, revision control, and engineering change processes.

Experience integrating Teamcenter with ERP (SAP), CAD tools, or Manufacturing systems.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills able to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).

Prior experience working with or consulting for Apple or major hardware/electronics clients is highly preferred.
