Job Details

Our excellent client is seeking an experienced Financial Coordinator for a one year HYBRID contract either in Springfield or Boston, MA. This role will oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support the project management office (PMO) growth. Working closely with the Portfolio Manager, the Financial Coordinator will be instrumental in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and driving efficiencies across the PMO. This position is ideal for a financial professional who is not only adept at numbers but also strategic in financial decision-making.

This is a hybrid role in Boston or Springfield - MUST be able to work on our W2.

Skills:

  • Lead the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, ensuring they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances and proposing corrective actions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures to secure the integrity of financial transactions and reporting.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a financial control or accounting position, preferably in the financial or project management sector.
  • An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Familiar with the following tools: SAP, Clarity PPM, Smartsheet, Wave, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
  • Proficient in accounting software and systems, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to improve financial operations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
