Job description:
We're seeking a Senior Data Modeler responsible for the design, governance, and optimization of enterprise data assets. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can architect conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple platforms, including traditional RDBMS, Operational Data Stores (ODS), Data Marts, and modern Data Lakes on SQL/NoSQL platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Lead the creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise systems such as RDBMS, ODS, Data Marts, and Data Lakes.
• Implementation: Translate business requirements into robust data structures and oversee implementation on SQL/NoSQL platforms.
• Governance: Define and enforce data modeling standards, tools, and best practices.
• Architecture Oversight: Guide the evolution of data architecture in alignment with organizational data strategies.
• Data Quality: Perform data profiling, validation, and complex SQL analysis to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaboration: Partner with business and technical teams to document data flows and create models supporting analytical and operational needs.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to data design and scalability.
• Optimization: Enhance data performance through model tuning and query optimization.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Strong SQL expertise for data analysis, profiling, and validation.
• In-depth knowledge of RDBMS, ODS, Data Marts, and Data Lake environments.
• Proficiency in dimensional modeling (e.g., star and snowflake schemas).
• Understanding of metadata management, data warehousing, and data lineage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
